Use the term “Trumplican” for the violent, irrational right. Use it for people threatening election workers and school board members. Use it for people who intimidate teachers and librarians with threats of violence or real violence. Use it for people who shout that the 2020 election was stolen, but have NO facts to support that view. Their “proof” is that Donald Trump said so.
For Democrats, don’t attack Republicans when you really mean “Trumplicans.” Using “Trumplican” would not insult the many fine Republicans who helped keep our 2020 election free of fraud. Using “Trumplican” would not demean the Republicans courageously testifying before the January 6th Committee.
For GOP Republicans, they could attack “Trumplicans” without being disloyal to their conservative Republican Party. The party that knew that Putin’s Russia was threatening all democratic nations and was not to be trusted. In February 2022, Trump said the Ukraine invasion was a brilliant move by Putin. Interesting.
Using the term “Trumplican” would enable people to speak more freely and accurately without including true Republicans in attacks. “Trumplican” must not be applied to conservatives, but only to people who believe that threats and violence trumps democracy.
Trumplicans have been shielded by claiming to be Republicans, but they are not Republicans. Republicans built a reputation for believing in facts, rational thinking, rule of law and promoting competent candidates for state and federal offices.
Here’s a typical “Trumplican” candidate, Herschel Walker. He was a great football player, but has no experience in politics. He has lied about his business experience. He told and paid his girlfriend to have an abortion. The girlfriend has the paperwork and a “Get Well” card signed by Walker. Think these reports are false, do your own web searching using, “Lies of Herschel Walker.”
Let us assume that Walker is a man who changed from a lover paying for a girl friend’s abortion in 2009 and a faithless father to a true follower of Christ. Walker is now totally against women having abortions for any reason. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and say he has repented.
BUT right now he is lying about what he did. That is Not a man who changed and regrets his past. This is a man, chosen by Trump to represent Georgia in the Senate. Is that who you want to represent you, a proven liar?
Trumplicans deny that facts exist, “It’s just your opinion.” Over 60 state and federal judges, after hearing Trump’s lawyer’s fraud claims, ruled Trump had NO evidence, NO facts. The 2020 election, despite COVID, was the cleanest and most transparent in US history. The only person who claims the election was stolen was Trump. If the election was rigged, how did so many Republicans get elected? Is the “Deep State” that stupid that they allowed them to win?
It may take major disasters, but it can happen.
