Why are so many Americans anxious and fearful. This applies to politicians, employees, parents, teachers, teenagers and even kids.
Why aren’t all of us crazy out of our minds?
We have a possible nuclear war with Russia, disasters in Turkey and Syria, gun violence across all parts of our country and social media broadcasting lies and distrust of every organization, except of course social media itself.
Whenever anyone has a problem and they don’t have the resources to solve that problem, they get anxious and eventually fearful. If the problem lasts long enough the fear turns into hate. When you cannot find outlets for the hate then thoughts turn to eliminating the person having that problem and the suicide rate goes up by one.
At some time, we all have intolerable problems. Usually we can see an end through quitting our job, getting a divorce or swallowing our pride and getting help of some sort. We might have tolerable problems that last indefinitely like a noisy neighbor, poor local government or a job that traps you into living paycheck to paycheck with little pleasure.
Do not allow an intolerable problem to last indefinitely.
At this point, either make the situation tolerable by seeking help to lessen the problem or find a way to make the problem temporary. If it’s job harassment or poor pay then organize with others to have a strike and if you get fired, then at least that problem is ended. Now get some assistance. What assistance? Well, that’s your new full time job finding it, but now you have some control.
If you have enough resources, a problem changes into a situation that you can work on.
If you are a 3 year old going to preschool and you are being bullied, that is a major problem. If you hit back, you get into trouble. If you cry, then they laugh. If you tell parents and teachers and are ignored, you get fearful and gradually learn to hate and act out. One problem creates another problem.
To handle a problem, get more resources on your side to correct the situation.
A major source of society’s problems is a disconnect between people who have authority and people who have the responsibility. Take for example, the issue of gun availability in America. The current Supreme Court (SCOTUS) is made up of 6 “Originalist” and 3 “Constitutionalist” justices.
“What is originalist vs constitutionalist?
Originalists argue that the meaning of the original constitutional text and definitions are forever fixed and can only change through amending the Constitution. Amending the Constitution is extremely and politically very difficult.
Living constitutionalists believe that constitutional law can and should evolve in response to changing times and values. For example, an outhouse on a farm is a private right, but not in the middle of a city because public health is threatened by you having an outhouse. Interpretation is a balancing act to ensure that all constitutional sections are considered, not just one preferred section.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.“
An Originalist says that, “, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.“
I could agree with them except during its writing “Arms” meant a single shot, muzzle loading rifle or pistol. I have no objection to any normal adult having that arm. I don’t think the authors could have imaged a modern semiautomatic weapon with a 30 round magazine. THERFOR; the authors did not authorize semiautomatic weapons with a 30 round magazine. Only magical thinking by the Supreme Court can believe that the author’s envisioned modern weapons when they wrote the Constitution. That is way outside the original “Arms” definition.
But maybe “Arms” meant any personal protection weapon? If that is the case then why are there laws that prevent individuals from owning machine guns, hand grenades, claymore mines and flame throwers? Any of these can be very effective weapons.
Which is it? Originalists choose one: Muzzle loaders or flame throwers?
Going back to making a problem, the current Supreme Court used their authority and forced the responsibility onto the thousands of people shot each year, their families and our general welfare.
AND the Supreme Court doesn’t even allow ARMS in their court room. That is hypocritical and very unfair.
