We should replace the term MAGA-Republicans, because it is self- contradictory. MAGA was invented by Trump and GOP Republicans want nothing to do with MAGA.
The GOP had a reputation for being fiscally conservative, worked for less government oversight, was strongly anticommunist and thought rationally, even selfishly.
Trumplicans expanded our national debt, passed laws restricting voting, reading books, vaccinations and abortion, thought Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was a genius move and were so emotional they violently attacked our Congress on January 6th.
With the media and the public attacking Republicans, members of the GOP are all included and are isolated. They cannot disassociate themselves from the MAGA-Republicans. If the term Trumplican were available, GOP Republicans could easily differentiate themselves from the MAGA and would be able to attack the Trumplicans.
If Democrats and GOP members used Trumplican, GOP Republicans could be more outspoken and have a public voice again.
Trumplicans have no agenda except to diminish trust, disrupt effective governance and destroy America’s reputation on the world stage. It looks like a military operation using any means available, legal and illegal.
They are working to stop military promotions and spending, shut down the federal government, quit supporting Ukraine, prevent US State Attorneys from being confirmed. They are acting in the best interests of Putin to weaken America. You could easily think that high ranking Trumplicans are Russian agents. Maybe it doesn’t require much thinking just seeing what they are doing.
